Cybertruck Crossbars
Tesla's owner procedure for bolting the roof brackets into the applique doors, then locking both crossbars onto those brackets.

From the instructions
Two people install the bars, and both towers go on together. Tesla says installing them one side at a time can damage the bar.
On the front-most applique, keep the passenger-side power feed harness off the studs.
Tools
Torque wrench included in the kit, for the applique stud nuts.
The crossbar key, to open and close the tower doors.
A trim tool, only if the passenger-side power feed harness has to be moved off the front studs.
Fasteners and torque
The owner procedure says to tighten the stud nuts with the kit torque wrench. It does not print a torque number.
Tesla states a 220 lb (100 kg) limit for a crossbar set on this page, and says to read the in-box instructions as well.
Steps
Step 1
Open the applique doors
Open all eight applique doors, or only the doors where the bars will sit. Tesla says the kit includes eight appliques for the roof.
Step 2
Remove the stud nuts
With the kit torque wrench, loosen and remove the nuts on the threaded studs inside each applique door you are using.
Step 3
Bolt on each bracket
Set the bracket so its raised arrow points outward, away from the truck. Put the nuts back on the studs and tighten them with the kit torque wrench. Repeat for the remaining doors. Brackets can stay on later.
Step 4
Point the bar forward
Find the FRONT arrow on the underside of the crossbar and aim it at the front of the truck.
Step 5
Seat both towers
Set one tower on its bracket, extend the bar to the other bracket, unlock both tower doors with the key, and push the towers down until they seat.
Step 6
Lock and test
Close each tower door with the key until it clicks. If a door will not close, open it, reseat the tower, and try again. Do the other side, then the second bar in front of or behind the first. Push and pull every tower. Keep the key somewhere dry.
