From the instructions
Do not attach a holder or anything else to the face plate until the mount is on the dash.
Tools
The screws and wrench included with the mount. The sheet does not name another tool.
Steps
Step 1
Join the two halves
Fit the two sides of the mount together.
Step 2
Screw the joining plate on
Line the joining plate up with the threaded inserts and tighten it with the included screws and wrench.
Step 3
Slide it over the screen
Flex the sides open and slide the mount over the infotainment screen until the top of the mount is flush with the top of the frame. Working one side at a time can make this easier.
