Steps

  1. Step 1

    Clean the lower doors

Wash the lower third of the doors, the underside of the bottom edges, and the door jambs at each end of every panel with isopropyl alcohol. Use the printed sheet to see which piece goes where. Start with the front door.

  2. Step 2

    Tack the front panel

Hold the peeled piece at about 45 degrees so the bottom does not stick early. Line the top edge up with the fold in the door, tack that edge, and squeegee from the middle downward. Leave about 8–9 mm past the ends and the bottom.

  3. Step 3

    Wrap the front edges

Open the door, warm the bottom edge with your palm, and roll the extra film under. Trim a corner that bunches. Wrap the ends into the jamb, pressing from the outside and then the inside, then close the door.

  4. Step 4

    Add the small front piece

Pull the nearby trim out slightly, set the top line, squeegee down beside the trim, then open the door and roll the edges under or next to the weather seal. Push the trim back.

  5. Step 5

Set the rear door from the front piece

Align the rear door panel to the front piece you already fitted, not to a body fold. Tack it the same way, from one end, still held up at an angle. Peel back and re-lay bubbles. Use heat if repeated moves have stretched the film. Wrap the edges and close the door.

  6. Step 6

    Finish the rearmost piece

Pop off the false trim at the door-jamb edge. Line the piece up on its left side, squeegee it, tuck it under the trim, and roll the bottom edge. The last fold is blind, so work along it until the whole length is stuck, then put the trim back.
